The Sheet Metal Mechanic training program offers trainees an effective way to acquire the skills trainees need to master sheet metal maintenance. Examinations give students ample time to hone their skills in safety, sheet metal processes, drafting, and other important areas.
Program graduates develop the knowledge they need for successful on-the-job performance. They'll learn to:
- Read a shop drawing.
- Calculate basic shop mathematics problems used in the workplace.
- Describe sheet metal forming.
- Work with metal cutting tools and machinery such as drills, lathes, saws, milling machines, grinding wheels, and CNC machines.
