The electrical maintenance apprenticeship program begins with an overview of pre-technical skills in math, measurements, and safety, and continues with the more complex subjects of electrical principles, equipment, motors, and controllers. Operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures are emphasized throughout the apprenticeship program.

The electrical maintenance apprenticeship program meets the subject requirements set forth in the standards established by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training (BAT). When combined with on-the-job training, the electrical maintenance apprenticeship program provides apprentices with the comprehensive skills and knowledge they need to perform as a plant electrician.
